Andy Warhol is hotter than ever, popping up all over the place


The recent makeup collaboration with Nars, wherein kaleidoscopic eye shadows and blushes were depicted as Warhol flowers, even a self-portrait, right there in the matte-black compacts.

Just last month, Warhol’s screen prints, photographs and drawings were stars of the first online-only auction at Christie’s, as part of a multiyear partnership between the auction house and the Warhol Foundation to benefit artists and nonprofit arts organizations.

Even Parisian fashion house Christian Dior is using Warhol as a muse, with its hot-off-the-runway fall 2013 collection. Designer Raf Simons embroidered and embossed early Warhol line drawings of colorful birds, elegant ladies and pointed-toe stilettos and kitten heels on everything from boxy handbags to wispy silk dresses.
